Our company policy is that the member of staff who makes the funeral arrangements will be in sole charge of overseeing the funeral ensuring that the all details are adhered to faultlessly.
All our funeral directors are dressed impeccably with top hats and frock coats. We pace away all funeral corteges from the family home, Churches and our funeral homes. Our funeral homes are furnished to a high standard with a tasteful blend of modern and traditional. We have reception areas, private arrangement offices and chapels of rest and service rooms in all our funeral homes. Our funeral homes are ideally located to serve the local community.

OUR STORY
When Desmond Maguire started washing funeral cars at 15 years old, it didn’t take him long to notice how important a good funeral could be for a grieving family. Inspired to help those in need, Desmond took a job as a funeral service operative when he finished school. He gradually worked his way through the ranks to become a funeral director and in June 2006, he decided to open his own funeral home, aiming to deliver the very best funeral care.
A funeral is such a personal thing, and there are so many complex emotions to be given due attention, that to be chosen so often is a real honour and a privilege. It’s a constant source of pride and humility for Desmond that so many families entrust their funerals into his company’s care.

Tailored Funeral Plans
The funeral services we help arrange are tailored to the unique requirements of the person to be commemorated. We cater to a few styles of funerals. Simple funerals, traditional, and eco-friendly.
A simple funeral could be described as a no-frills traditional funeral service. It includes all of the essentials for a traditional funeral without any extras such as a limousine to transport your family to the service.
Our traditional funeral service includes a wood veneer coffin, one limousine, use of the viewing room at our funeral home, and a longer funeral service.
Eco-friendly funerals use biodegradable caskets. Special arrangements can be made for a green funeral with no embalming. Depending on the site of committal, memorials may be restricted to leave no trace on the land, whereas some burial sites permit a tree or other natural resource to be planted as a memorial.
Each of our funeral plans can be tailored to suit the life, values, and beliefs of the deceased and their families wishes. Our Funeral Directors will take the time to understand the life of the person to be commemorated and advise on all aspects of funeral provision to help you make informed choices.
Bothwell Funerals
Each of our funerals follows traditional funeral etiquette. Our staff are dressed impeccably in frock coats and top hats, and our fleet of funeral vehicles are all traditional limousines, and our hearsette is used to transport the deceased into our care, on the day of the service to the church, and onward to the final resting place.

We understand everyone is unique. We will do our utmost best to arrange the most fitting ceremony suited to the life to be commemorated. That may be a particular floral arrangement or alternative funeral vehicles. Each aspect of the funeral plan can be tailored to suit your requirements.
Our Funeral Home
The Mill Funeral Home is located near Bothwell, a short commute via the M74. Our staff are fully-trained, experienced and care for those in our care with compassion, respect, and dignity throughout their time with us.
Our funeral home is tastefully decorated. Within our premises, we have a reception hall, family room, viewing room, a chapel of rest, and our service room has a seating capacity for up to 120 mourners. A sound system is fitted for playing funeral music.
Members of the Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (S.A.I.F)
The S.A.I.F are the largest professional trade body responsible for setting a code of standards for Independent Funeral Directors to follow. Members are required to adhere to a strict code of conduct, uphold ethical standards and provide a high standard of care to the communities they serve.
